Founded in 2000, Shear Excellence is a family owned and operated academy and has developed strong relationships in the Tampa Bay area with established salons and hairstylists. Shear Excellence Hair Academy has built a reputation for graduates passing the state board exam the First time around. Our school operates with integrity, reliability, and a commitment to the success of our students.

Today, Shear Excellence Hair Academy is still family-owned and operated with it’s second location in Valrico Florida. It is also recognized for the integrity and passion its faculty and staff have for its graduates and the industry. Shear Excellence Hair Academy currently employs more than 21 people and has graduated numerous of Cosmetologists, Barbers, Nail Technicians, Full Specialists and Facial Specialist since the year of 2000. The Donaldson Family remains dedicated to growth and expansion in all aspects of the business so that it may offer training and support to individuals who wish to establish a career as a licensed personal care professional.
