Brandon, FL — Sunrise Irrigation, a leading provider of Florida irrigation, drainage, and water management services, has officially become an approved Tampa Bay Water Wise participating contractor. The company is now helping eligible homeowners access valuable rebates through a convenient, company-managed submission service.

Sunrise worked with Tampa Bay Water Wise to develop a process that allows the company to manage rebate submissions on behalf of its customers.

  • System Evaluation: We inspect your irrigation system and pinpoint eligible upgrades.
  • Professional Installation: Our team completes the approved improvements.
  • Paperwork & Filing: We handle, submit, and track all required rebate forms for you.
  • Rebate Payment: After rebate approval, Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA), the program administrator, issues your check directly to you.

EGIA administers program applications and payments. Payments are issued within 30 days of completed applications.

Sunrise Handles the Rebate Submission

As a Tampa Bay Water Wise approved participating contractor, Sunrise helps homeowners understand their potential savings and manages the rebate paperwork and submission. Homeowners receive their rebate check after approval and after Sunrise receives program payment from the program.

Customers provide:

  • a recent water bill 
  • any required authorization

Sunrise prepares:

  • the paid, itemized invoice
  • signed contractor rebate form
  • submits the documentation
  • tracks reimbursement

After approval, Sunrise receives the payment and issues a check to the homeowner. The whole approach brings irrigation service and rebate assistance together, reducing the steps homeowners need to manage on their own.

Sprinkler Upgrades Can Add Up to Hundreds in Rebates

Homeowners can earn valuable rebates by upgrading to any of the following qualifying system components:

  • rotor heads
  • rain sensors
  • high-efficiency rotary nozzles
  • WaterSense-labeled pressure-regulated spray bodies
  • WaterSense-labeled weather-based irrigation controllers

When the eligible evaluation charge is fully covered by the rebate, the homeowner pays no net evaluation cost.

Helping Tampa Bay Homeowners Upgrade and Conserve Water

The sprinkler rebate program serves eligible single-family homeowners using city or county drinking water for irrigation from:

  • Tampa
  • St. Petersburg
  • New Port Richey
  • Pinellas County utilities
  • Pasco County utilities
  • Hillsborough County utilities

Systems must be existing and working.

Rebate exclusions:

  • New construction
  • Well water systems
  • Pond water systems
  • New irrigation systems
  • Reclaimed water systems
  • Sprinkler system expansion

Coordinated by Tampa Bay Water and its six member governments, the program receives co-funding from the Southwest Florida Water Management District, while EGIA oversees rebate applications and payment distribution.
